The Seattle Seahawks traded offensive guard John Moffitt to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for defensive end Brian Sanford on Monday -- according to CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora. A two-year veteran, Moffitt started six games for Seattle in 2012, while Sanford spent much of last year on the Browns' practice squad.
Seattle had a need at defensive end with Bruce Irvin facing suspension, but it's a curious trade by the Seahawks. There's no indication Sanford would have made it through cuts, and it's hard to imagine a line for his services with three years and only five tackles to his name.
